Non-verbal learning disabilities include issues with motor skills, visual-spatial memory, and social abilities.
People with non-verbal disabilities may miss social cues or changes in the tone of voice. They may also need to verbalize things to understand them. Struggling with reading comprehension or math problem-solving may also be typical.
Being physically clumsy or bumping into objects or people may also be a symptom. Some may think of things in literal terms and struggle with metaphors or abstract concepts.
